FOR306: Tropical Forest Conservation Field Course

Registration

The course is offered through the University of Toronto's undergraduate program in Forest Conservation. Enrollment is capped at 24. Students with a major in Forest Conservation will be given preference for admission in the event of over-enrollment. Otherwise, the course is open to all students. Students in Forest Conservation can register early through the forestry office, and all students can register through a balloting process.

Balloting forms are available from Kathy Giesbrecht in Earth Science Center room ESC1016R (near the East entrance to the Faculty of Forestry, next to the Centre for the Environment offices).

FORMS ARE DUE FEB. 5!

See the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology field course page for more information on other field courses at U of T.

Prerequisites

There are no specific prerequisites for this course; however, we will assume familiarity with basic concepts in biology. For students at University of Toronto, BIO150 and one or more upper-level courses in ecology are strongly recommended, and an equivalent background will be assumed for all students in the course.
