Our first centennial was celebrated in 2007, and our staff and students played a vital role in developing a Global Vision of Forestry in the 21st Century. To date, over 2,000 BScF, 420 MScF, 170 MFC and 130 PhD degrees have been awarded in Forestry.

With the multi-disciplinary interests of our faculty members, graduate students in the faculty are on the leading edge of exciting advances relating to a wide range of issues central to the well being of forest ecosystems and the development of GREEN technologies for environmentally friendly utilization of forest based biomaterials.

The Faculty is centrally located in the Earth Sciences Center on St. George Campus of the University of Toronto within easy access to all University facilities and services. The Earth Sciences Centre houses the Faculty of Forestry, the Departments of Cell and Systems Biology, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Geology, and the Centre for Environment, providing an exciting environment for integrated research and teaching.

The University's extensive computing, laboratory, greenhouse and other physical and field research facilities including the University's 860-acre Joker's Hill property just outside of Newmarket, are further enhanced through collaborative agreements with other institutions and organizations
