NOTES RE COURSE AVAILABILITY AND ACCESS VIA SWS (“ROSI”)

  1. ROSI COURSE ACCESS:  Generally, Forestry courses are available for students to add directly to their programs via ROSI (unless a student's home department prohibits direct course adds on ROSI and requires departmental signatures).  However, all students (and, in particular, non-Forestry students) should consult directly with course instructors to confirm that course content and requirements are appropriate to the student's background preparation, program goals and interests.
  2. DIRECTED STUDIES COURSES:  Students cannot add the following courses via ROSI:

                FOR1412H           Natural Resource Management 1

                FOR1413H           Natural Resource Management 2

FOR1900H           Advanced Topics in Forestry 1

FOR1901H           Advanced Topics in Forestry 2

For these courses, a “Request for Individual Reading and/or Research Course” form must be completed jointly by the student and the responsible Forestry staff instructor and submitted to the Graduate Administrator in ES1016L by the appropriate SGS course add deadline.  Forms are available from the Faculty office and at http://www.sgs.utoronto.ca/Assets/SGS+Digital+Assets/current/Student+Forms/Reading_and_Research.pdf
